I Love Me
Over the past few days, I have been meaning to write about many things – and some are already written. They are just sitting in my Drafts waiting to be edited.
I just don’t have the time for it at the moment. It’s… complicated… I didn’t want to come out with it so soon. OK, well. Here it comes out.
I’m dating.
Myself.
Yes, I have invented a whole new level of narcissism. I am in a relationship with myself, and myself is very needy and wants my attention all the time. When she says “no work, I wanna play”, I can’t refuse. Damn, we make a sexy couple.
I think it’s important to take that time off your work and focus on yourself for a bit. Most people get so caught up trying to satisfy everyone around them, that they forget that they need to work on their own wants and needs too. Try focusing on you. The benefits are numerous…

8 Things I should have done today…
I also did this in the mirror for about 5 minutes today...
Things I should have done today:
- Cleaned my place. It was clean yesterday, I swear. I cleaned it. But, unfortunately, when I am not at home alone then things never stay clean. Things get used, when there are people here. Dishes, blankets, the bathroom and so on..
- Done the laundry. But the thing is, I don’t have just my laundry to do: so there is literally a mountain of clothes on my floor which are ready to jump into the washing machine.
- Gone running. Even if I don’t get drunk every night, I do end up drinking at least a little every night. Running or exercise of some sort is a great way to clear my head.
- Gone grocery shopping. There’s a bit of salad in my fridge, some chicken wings and a diet coke. Also,
lots ofway too much alcohol for the consumption of one average 22 year old girl. I should buy some real food. - Cleaned/polished my shoes. Going out every night has a very negative impact on my pretty collection of shoes. I should really clean them.
- Called my important people. I say important people because there are a lot of them which I need to call to explain why I haven’t been in contact/why I didn’t show up somewhere where I should have been (long story).
- Prepared for my lessons this week. Because God knows, there are a few, and I need to organise things… lots of things.
- Something else productive.
This is like my wardrobe... cept that most of MY wardrobe, is on the floor.
Things I did today:
- Went for coffee with friends.
- Talked to people on facebook.
- Watched funny youtube videos of dancing monkeys (seriously, check it out!)
- I danced naked around my place… does that count?
- Ehh…
- Yeah, nope.
- Nothing.
- Nada.
And so ends my Sunday. Let’s hope tomorrow I’ll somehow become less lazy. Good night everyone.

There are some people who after death leave a timeless lasting impression on future generations.
Helmut Newton is one of my favourite photographers. He died about 7 years ago. His provocative fashion photography pretty much changed the face of Vogue and similar magazines.
